Abstract

In order to improve the teaching/learning level of aircraft airworthiness technology courses, this paper proposes an engineering case-based method for aircraft airworthiness technology major at universities related to aeronautics and astronautics. To further enhance the interest and vitality of the course contents, the knowledge point of the course is combined with the advantages and characteristics of the case-based teaching (CBT) method. By taking bird crash accident of civil aircraft as an example, this paper demonstrates the importance and effectiveness of applying CBT method in aircraft airworthiness technology courses. In the teaching process of aircraft bird impact accidents, the airworthiness regulations, statistic data and representative cases are integrated to form an "airworthiness triangle" surrounding the aircraft structures. The proposed teaching mode of this paper has the reference significance for teaching other knowledge points of civil aviation majors.
