Abstract

The effects of climate change are being felt in all parts of the world. The polar ice is and the sea level is rising. Extreme weather and rain are becoming more frequent in some regions, while in others more intense heat waves and droughts are occurring. These effects are expected to be more intense in the coming decades. Heavy rains and other extreme weather conditions are becoming more common. This can result in floods and reduced water quality, but also reduced availability of water resources in some regions. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of today. The destructive effects of climate change are being felt in all parts of the world, and the Paris Agreement emphasizes the importance of adaptation to make it easier to deal with their consequences. Adaptation refers to the development of a strategy of activities aimed at avoiding the damage and costs that may arise if climate change is not taken into account. Although it is not possible to adapt to all the impacts of climate change, the management of potential risks can be improved.
