Abstract
Under the influence of the concept of Outcome based education (OBE) and the certification of teachers' major, dance education in Chinese universities has been constantly improving the curriculum and teaching content, promoting students to clarify learning objectives, enhance learning input, obtain high-quality learning harvest, and ensure students to have the required teaching ability when they are employed. Starting from the definition of knowledge, this study uses the method of literature research to analyze the curriculum structure and professional course teaching content of dance education major in Chinese universities, and at the same time, analyzes the learning characteristics and learning process of dance education major. Through the analysis, the categories of cognitive ability and problem-solving ability are clarified, as well as the different ways in practical application. Through research, it is found that cognitive ability and problem-solving ability are necessary abilities for knowledge transformation, key elements of deep learning, and essential abilities to ensure that students have the ability of teaching, creation, research, activity planning and implementation when they graduate. Therefore, it is very necessary to cultivate the cognitive ability and problem solving ability of students majoring in dance education.
