The Textual Research of the Western Region Murals and Its Related Characteristics—Takes the Grottoes Seen in Xinjiang and Dunhuang as the Research Center

Abstract

At present, there are not many grottoes with the image of electric god in the western regions. According to previous scholars, Cave 4 of Yar lake Grottoes and Cave 20 of Bazikic Grottoes in the Uygur period of Gaochang, Xinjiang, and the presence of electric god in the grottoes of 249 and 285 in the Western Wei Dynasty of Dunhuang. This paper analyzes the four caves one by one. First of all, judge the authenticity of the electric god image of Cave 4 of Yar Lake and Cave 249 and 285 of the Dunhuang Western Wei Dynasty, Secondly, the author analyzes the image source and development of electric god in Cave 20 of Berzkic, Finally, the authors explore the cultural mixture of the image of the Western region and the mutual dissemination and mutual influence of different cultures.
