Abstract
In the framework of Langacker's cognitive grammar, this paper proposes a new research method: conceptual - construct interface semantic research method. Different from the existing interface studies, this approach focuses on the conceptual level which is without specific language forms. That is to say, when analyzing a sentence semantics, it not only analyzes its conceptual semantics, which is the objective construed part in conceptualization activities; It also analyzes the semantic meaning of its constructional level, which is the objectively construed part + subjectively construed part. When the meaning of the conceptual level is inconsistent with the meaning of the constructional level, the meaning of the conceptual level will interact with the meaning of the constructional level in the fusion process. This paper tries to explain some marginal phenomena in language by analyzing the interaction between conceptual level and constructional level. Taking Chinese existential sentences and Japanese possessive sentences as examples, this paper introduces the analysis process of concept-construction interface semantic research, in an attempt to provide a new path for semantic research.
