Abstract

The degree of gender equality in the allocation of public resources is one of the important indicators to measure the development level and civilization of a city. With the rapid development of China's economy and society, the degree of modernization of most cities in China has been continuously improved, and municipal construction has become increasingly perfect. However, under the beautiful appearance, the allocation of urban public resources is still unreasonable and unfair. This paper takes the allocation of toilets for both sexes as an example to discuss gender equality in the allocation of urban public resources. Through the investigation of the allocation of male and female toilets in a developed urban university in the middle east, this study finds that there are still significant gender equality problems in the process of allocating public resources. In this study, in the process of urban development and construction, and in the process of allocation of urban public resources, the objective factors existing in society should be taken into account, so as to allocate resources more effectively.
