Discussion on the Development of Dance Education in Colleges and Universities after Dance Has Become a First-level Discipline

Abstract

At the end of 2021, dance was set as a first-level discipline of art in the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council, which issued the Catalogue of Disciplines for Doctoral and Master Degrees Awarding and Talent Cultivation (Draft). In the face of the new adjustment, colleges and universities actively respond to this opportunity to reform the discipline system. Under the new situation, in order to continuously promote the reform and development of dance teaching in colleges and universities and achieve the development goal of dance education, colleges and universities need to proceed from the actual situation of teaching, conduct an in-depth analysis of the existing problems in dance teaching, and mobilize them by improving the strength of dance teaching teachers, emphasizing the artistic connotation of dance teaching, creating a good dance teaching environment, balancing the differences in students' dance foundation and other methods Students' interest in learning, improve students' overall quality of dance, and provide an important guarantee for the reform of dance teaching in colleges and universities as well as high quality and sustainable development.
