Abstract
The major of visual communication design is an emerging specialty in the field of professional education in China's universities, with a history of no more than 10 years. The curriculum arrangement and educational ideas are completely based on the Japanese universities in the 1980s. At present, the major of visual communication design has become mature in the construction of university education in China, but the corresponding curriculum system and educational ideas are still stagnant. The professional graduates trained can no longer meet the needs of today's social development. The reform and innovation of the curriculum system of the major of visual communication design needs to be explored and solved. Visual communication design is a new discipline based on graphic design to meet the needs of social development. Visual communication design meets the relevant requirements of graphic design through the effective integration of multimedia technology and art design. Visual communication design is widely used in many fields in China. At present, many colleges and universities also take visual communication design as their key training content. However, at this stage, the curriculum of visual communication design has not combined with the actual development needs, so many students only understand the basic theoretical knowledge and can not be organically combined with the practical application, thus reducing the employment rate of students and hindering the development of the industry. Therefore, this paper will study the curriculum design of visual communication design specialty based on the work process orientation for reference.
