Abstract

This study evaluated the self-efficacy of 1000 student-athletes from 20 universities in China, and tested their significant differences and correlations according to their environment to find out the challenges that hinder student-athletes from achieving coordination of learning and training. Through the analysis of the data of general self-efficacy scale, it is found that high self-efficacy evaluation of student athletes indicates that they are more engaged in work and have a strong sense of achievement, which has a positive effect on happiness and a negative effect on burnout. Therefore, this position must be maintained and even strengthened to give them the opportunity to see temporary setbacks, not be easily discouraged, set priorities, develop more effective strategies and focus on achieving more productive results. At the same time, teachers should design more participatory and substantive learning activities according to the preferences and standards of male and female student-athletes to maximize their learning goals and potential.
