Abstract
The 1930s to the 1940s belonged to the initial transition and establishment of Chinese classical aesthetics to modern aesthetics. By sorting out Chinese aesthetic works and translations from 1930 to 1940, it is divided into two aspects for discussion. On the one hand, aesthetic works mainly influenced by Marxist historical materialism; Works formed under the influence of modern Western philosophy. This period was at the basic stage of Chinese classical aesthetics turning to Chinese modern aesthetics, so most of the works of this period had a link between the past and the next. These excellent aesthetic theories are not only to blindly study foreign aesthetics, but also to inherit the previous Chinese classical aesthetics and preliminarily establish the prototype of Chinese modern aesthetics. The aesthetic research at this stage is of great significance to the formation of modern aesthetics, bringing vitality to Chinese classical aesthetics, promoting the development of Chinese classical aesthetics, and laying a certain foundation for the establishment of modern Chinese aesthetics.
