Abstract
Education is an area that every citizen is very concerned about. The implementation of the “Double Reduction Policy” is not only to reduce the burden of students' schoolwork but also to alleviate the anxiety of parents. Based on 10,117 Weibo posts, the study found that although 52.8% of the content showed anxiety and worry tendencies, parents generally took a positive attitude toward the policy. The anxiety about education mainly comes from the following factors: The combination of traditional values and policies in China in many fields has increased parents' anxiety after the double reduction. In addition, the imbalance and insufficiency of educational resources, as well as the persistent fear of class status, are also essential sources of parents' anxiety after the double reduction. To alleviate parents' anxiety, inter-school cooperation is needed to enrich educational resources. The education view based on scores should be changed to the education view of diversified development.
