Discussion on Issues Related to the Standardization of Intellectual Property Protection

Abstract

With the increasing frequency of activities in the whole chain of intellectual property creation, protection, application, management, and service, and the deepening integration of intellectual property and standardization, we must establish a standard system for intellectual property protection and standardize innovation protection behavior with the help of standardized means. This paper expounds on the current standardization situation in China's intellectual property field from three levels: theoretical research, system construction, and promotion of implementation. It points out the problems of slow organization construction: lack of academic research, lack of standard supply, and difficulty in implementation of standardization in the field of intellectual property. It also gives targeted solutions based on the problems to provide forward-looking references and innovative thinking for the construction and performance of the standardization system for intellectual property protection. As an essential means of knowledge resource management, standardization is vital in promoting industrial innovation and upgrading, optimizing the market business environment, and strengthening international competitive advantages. The integration and development of intellectual property protection and standardization, and the integration of the knowledge economy and market economy, will play an essential role in improving the institutional system of intellectual property, cultivating innovation capabilities, using technology and streaming, and improving management efficiency.
