Abstract
With the continuous development of information technology, blended teaching mode has become a hot topic in education. This author takes the smart lan-guage laboratory as the background and explores the practical research of adopting a blended teaching model in English listening and speaking classes. By investigating the actual situation of students in the smart language laboratory and conducting a pre- and post-controlled experiment, it was found that the blended teaching mode of English listening and speaking classes based on the smart language laboratory can improve students’ English listening and speaking abilities, as well as enhance their learning interest and participation. In addition, this teaching mode can also promote the students’ ability of autonomous learning and cooperative learning. Finally, the author proposes some practical suggestions to help teachers better apply the blended teaching model in English listening and speaking classes, hoping to improve the quality and effectiveness of English listening and speaking classes.
