Abstract

With the rapid development of society, micro-majors in Chinese private universities have gradually become a new highlight in the field of education. In order to improve the teaching quality of micro-major faculties in private universities and the employment competitiveness of students, this paper analyzes strategies in aspects such as the construction of the micro-major teaching staff, reforms of education and teaching, major settings and curriculum systems, and resource sharing and cooperation. In terms of the construction of micro-major teaching staff, the paper proposes suggestions for strengthening recruitment and selection, faculty training, and incentive mechanisms. In response to educational and teaching reforms, this study emphasizes the importance of student-centered educational and teaching models, the application of modern information technology in micro-major teaching, and micro-major curriculum teaching reforms. In the aspect of significant settings and curriculum systems, the paper recommends adjusting professional settings in line with social needs and industry development trends, strengthening cross-integration among majors, and conducting regular curriculum system evaluations. Lastly, the research explores strategies for resource sharing and cooperation, including establishing cooperative relationships with research institutions of micro-majors in other universities, strengthening industry-university-research collaboration, and promoting international exchanges and cooperation. This study provides a series of strategic suggestions for the construction and development of micro-major teachers in private universities, aiming to promote the healthy development of micro-majors in private universities and improve teaching quality and students' employment competitiveness.
