Abstract

The opera "Painted Skin" is adapted from a story in Pu Songlin's "Liaozhai Zhiyi." There are numerous artistic adaptations and interpretations of "Painted Skin". One notable adaptation is the opera "Painted Skin", composed by Hao Weiya, a renowned contemporary Chinese composer. The opera is highly innovative in its thinking and approach compared to traditional Chinese opera compositions. "The opera 'Painted Skin' showcases the innovative fusion of orchestra and stage presentation in contemporary Chinese opera." The performance of Chinese opera is not limited to the Chinese opera stage. It should showcase the Chinese opera paradigm to the world, sharing the Chinese story and promoting a positive image of Chinese opera. Approach the Western stage model and delve deeper into Chinese folk music and art materials. In terms of stage presentation and musical expression, we can draw on the experience of Western opera stages.
