Discussion on the Teaching Method of Civil Procedure Law

Abstract

In the teaching process of civil procedure law in colleges and universities in China, there are several issues that need to be addressed. These include exam-oriented teaching objectives, abstract teaching content, and traditional teaching methods. These problems result in excessive focus on theoretical knowledge, low student enthusiasm for learning, and overall poor learning outcomes. There is still a gap in achieving the training goal of legal education. For a long time, the teaching method of lecturing has been exclusively used in undergraduate law education, disregarding students' enthusiasm and initiative, and failing to stimulate their interest in studying law. The development of the Internet has exerted a great influence on traditional educational ideas, teaching methods, and systems. For the classroom teaching of civil procedure law, it is necessary to combine online teaching with offline heuristic teaching, case teaching, discussion teaching, court simulation teaching, and other teaching methods. This combination will help improve students' learning interest and autonomy, and achieve a good teaching effect.
