Abstract
In the context of global economic integration, the advancement of cultural globalization has also been significantly promoted, leading to the collision and mutual influence of cultures from all countries. From the May Fourth Period, East Asian culture and European and American cultural trends were introduced into China one after another, and combined with local culture to form a robust development. This also made significant contributions to the diversified development of Chinese culture and greatly affected the overall level of education in China. However, people's understanding of British and American culture is still relatively limited, and their knowledge of British and American literature is also restricted, preventing them from fully appreciating the cultural richness of British and American literature. Therefore, this paper discusses the spiritual value and practical significance of British and American literature, aiming to enhance cul-tural exchanges between the East and the West.
