Application of Project-based Learning Method in High School Language Teaching—The Teaching of “Xiang Ji Xuan Zhi” as an Example

Abstract

In the current new language teaching model for senior secondary schools, the use of PBL project-based language reading training can be used to gradually improve the overall reading skills of senior secondary school students at a certain level of difficulty and critical analysis and thinking skills. The aim of this paper is to further investigate the practical application of a PBL approach to the assessment and reform of language reading and teaching skills for high school language teachers. As can be seen in the subject of language in high school, the main purpose of the subject activities is to develop students' core literacies. Teachers should analyse the content of the language subject through reading, guide each student to fully participate in the language learning environment, and focus on helping the majority of students to establish a scientific and correct concept of literary life and humanistic values in practice, forming their good quality of language personality and lifelong learning ability. In this paper, we take the teaching of Xiang Ji Xuan Zhi as an example and use the project-based teaching model to promote the effective implementation of practical activities in high school languages.
