The Status and Dilemma of New Liberal Arts Talents Training Under the Background of High-quality Development—Take Chinese Language and Literature Major as an Example

Abstract
Under the background of high-quality development, the new liberal arts construction puts forward the training goal of a compound and applied talents. Through the investigation of the training situation of the Chinese language and literature major in 20 colleges and universities, it was found that the current talent training concept is market-oriented, the integration of disciplines in education concept is carried out, and the training modes and methods are innovated. At the same time, some colleges and universities have carried out characteristic teaching. There are still some problems in the training of new liberal arts talents, such as untimely revision of talent training schemes, insufficient integration of disciplines, and single subject background of teachers. Therefore, the training of new liberal arts talents in the Chinese language and literature major needs to strengthen the application orientation of talent training scheme, innovation of teaching methods, and optimization of teacher structure.
