Abstract

This paper examines the development history of the electric vehicle industry in Henan Province. Comparative analysis is used to objectively review the current level of industry development. The explosive growth in market demand after 2016 has kept the province's electric vehicle promotion rate higher than the national average. Henan Province has developed into an important electric vehicle production and sales base in China. The paper summarizes the successes and failures. At the same time, we find that the level of electric vehicle ownership in the province is lower than the national average. Not only that, there is also an obvious gap between electric vehicles in the province against the total economic and population size of the country. For this reason, correlation analysis and linear regression are used to find the reasons and the way out. We found that the path to promote electric vehicles in Henan Province lies not only in increasing the level of electric vehicles to replace traditional cars but also in further increasing the level of car ownership. This provides ideas for the government and enterprises to solve the problems in the process of electric vehicle promotion.
