Abstract
The protection of intangible cultural heritage is a complex and systematic cultural project. Innovation is needed to enhance its vitality in the process of inheritance and protection, excavation, arrangement, and improvement. In the process of inheritance and development, we should eliminate the bad and retain the good to promote the excellent traditional culture of the ethnic groups. With the rapid development of China's social economy, the social environment on which intangible cultural heritage depends has undergone tremendous changes. Many valuable intangible cultural heritages are being affected and are on the brink of extinction. Therefore, it is urgent to protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage. Based on the background of strengthening the consciousness of the Chinese nation as a whole, this paper takes the inheritance and protection of Linxia brick carving handicrafts as the starting point to help the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
