Abstract
With the integration and innovation of inclusive finance, digital technology, and “Internet+”, digital inclusive finance has gradually become an important way to activate the consumption potential of rural residents. However, the research on how digital inclusive finance can help rural residents upgrade their consumption is still weak. There are few studies that analyze the influence mechanism between digital inclusive finance and rural residents' consumption in depth and systematically. Also, few studies analyze the influence mechanism between digital inclusive finance and rural residents' consumption in depth and systematically. Starting from the perspective of digital inclusive finance, this paper explains that digital inclusive finance mainly utilizes four ways, namely, consumer credit, insurance, digital payment, and investment management, to enhance rural residents' consumption. On this basis, this paper combines the panel data of 31 provinces and cities in China from 2014 to 2020. It empirically analyzes the impact mechanism of digital inclusive finance on rural residents' consumption through the fixed effect model. The study also explores the differences between influencing factors such as rural per capita disposable income, the child dependency ratio, and the old-age dependency ratio. The aim is to better assist in expanding and upgrading the consumption of rural residents.
