Abstract

This study explores innovative paths in the curriculum design and teaching reform of art education. By analyzing the current state of public art courses in colleges and universities, including the curriculum design and existing problems, targeted reform measures are proposed. The research found that the current art education curriculum is limited in content, outdated in teaching methods, and has an incomplete evaluation system, failing to meet students' diverse learning needs. To address these issues, this paper suggests optimizing the curriculum system by increasing course variety, introducing interdisciplinary courses, updating course content, and increasing practical sessions. It also recommends improving teaching methods by adopting case teaching, situational teaching, and multimedia teaching. Furthermore, the paper advocates for the improvement of the course evaluation system by using diversified evaluation methods that combine process evaluation and result evaluation to comprehensively reflect students' learning outcomes. Through case analysis, successful experiences are summarized, providing valuable references and insights for improving the quality of art education and promoting the comprehensive development of students.
