Abstract

As a significant symbol in traditional Chinese culture, auspicious patterns possess profound cultural connotations and aesthetic value, along with considerable artistic and cultural heritage significance. In the realm of college art education, these auspicious patterns can not only enrich the curriculum but also stimulate students' creative thinking. This paper will conduct an in-depth study on the application and innovative development of traditional auspicious patterns within college art education, exploring specific application methods and innovative approaches in modern teaching. By analyzing the historical background and artistic characteristics of auspicious patterns, and aligning them with contemporary art teaching needs, we aim to identify the optimal integration point between traditional auspicious patterns and college art education. This endeavor seeks to achieve a mutually beneficial and win-win situation for cultural inheritance and modern education, thereby promoting the advancement of college art education and the preservation of traditional Chinese culture.
