Abstract

To understand the influencing factors of specialist nurses' sense of professional value and to establish a predictive model that provides a reference for targeted management, a cross-sectional survey was conducted from October to November 2023. Utilizing a "snowball" sampling method, data were collected from 338 specialized nurses in Zhejiang Province through a questionnaire that included both general information and the Nurses' Sense of Professional Value Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to investigate the factors influencing specialist nurses' sense of professional value, leading to the construction and validation of a linear regression prediction model. The results indicated that the sense of professional value among specialist nurses was at a moderate level. Several factors were found to influence this sense of professional value, including the hospital level of employment, the number of years since obtaining their specialty nursing qualifications, their current gross monthly income, and their primary mode of service delivery. The prediction model for the professional value of specialist nurses, based on these factors, can be applied in clinical practice. These findings suggest that nursing managers should implement targeted measures to support the development of specialized nursing, thereby enhancing the professional value among these nurses.
