How Tencent Ensures That Its Technical Resources Meet the VRIN Criteria: A Brief Discussion

Abstract
This paper discusses how Tencent can make effective use of its internal technical resources to ensure that these resources meet the VRIN (value, scarcity, difficult to imitate, and irreplaceability) standards, so as to enhance its strategic ability in the fierce market competition. In a highly competitive market environment, Tencent has achieved an increase in enterprise value through disruptive innovation. The company uses its own advantages to eliminate competitive threats while continuously improving its competitiveness and consolidating its leading position in the industry. Through a detailed analysis of Tencent's technical resources in data analysis algorithm, patent, copyright, and trademark, this paper reveals the key role of these resources in creating value, enhancing scarcity, and maintaining imitative and irreplaceability. At the same time, this paper also combines Tencent's innovative practices in rural governance, health, and other fields, and further verifies the important role of its technical resources in improving the competitiveness of enterprises.
