Application Study of Mind Mapping in College Oral English Teaching

Abstract
Oral English ability is the basis of promoting college students' comprehensive English application ability. At the present stage, college oral English teaching has not achieved the desired effect. Through the introduction of a thinking map (Mind Mapping), an innovative thinking mode, the creative thinking of college students can be stimulated and the language output can be expanded. The mind map has the characteristics of concrete, and correlation, in the process of concrete practice, college English teachers can according to the different needs of oral English training contact mind maps, solve the teaching of abstraction, fragmentary, and follow the warm-up reserve-ask questions-oral output-after class consolidated teaching path, improve oral output ability. The design of the mind map is in line with the cognitive law of college students from simple to difficult, making students become the main body of the classroom and reflecting the spirit of the new curriculum reform. From the perspective of college oral English teaching, this paper proposes mind mapping as an oral learning tool for students. The mind map has the characteristics of bright colors, different images, and lines, which can present complex problems with rich and colorful visual images. Therefore, oral English teaching guided by mind mapping can not only increase students 'interest in oral learning but also enrich students' oral learning strategies, which can not only spread students' thinking but also improve students' oral ability.
