Abstract
In the context of the digital transformation of education, AI technology has significantly spurred the development of college English education. To achieve the "deep integration" of information technology and college foreign-language teaching, college English teachers must keep abreast of the times. They should enhance their information literacy, innovate and transform traditional teaching models and methods, extensively apply information-technology tools in teaching practice, and create a technology-integrated smart foreign-language teaching information environment. This paper conducts a questionnaire-based survey on the information literacy of college English teachers in three independent colleges in Hunan Province. Based on the survey results, it proposes promotion strategies from aspects such as constructing an online teacher learning community, fostering a favorable information-literacy environment for teachers, and building a technology-integrated smart English-teaching information environment, aiming to promote the professional development of English teachers in independent colleges during the digital transformation of education.
