Abstract

Under the background of digitization, junior middle school English education is experiencing a transition from traditional to modern. On the one hand, digital teaching resources are springing up, providing teachers and students with rich and diverse learning materials and interactive platforms, greatly broadening the boundaries and depth of teaching. On the other hand, digital technology has also led to a profound change in the teaching mode and methodology, from a single lecture-style teaching to a diversified and personalized learning path, providing students with a more flexible and independent learning experience. However, this transformation has not been smooth. There are imbalances in the application of technology and the distribution of resources, teachers' digital literacy and skills are put to the test, and students' ability to learn independently and process information needs to be improved. In addition, how to ensure the quality of teaching and learning in the digital environment and how to evaluate the effectiveness of students' learning are also current problems that need to be solved. Therefore, this paper will comprehensively analyze the opportunities and dilemmas of junior middle school English education in the context of digitization from the dimensions of status quo and challenges, and innovation strategies, and explore how to promote the continuous innovation and high-quality development of junior middle school English education in the deep integration of technology and education.
