Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effects of interferon α2b gel combined with valacyclovir on inflammatory factors and immune function in the treatment of herpes zoster. Methods: Fifty patients diagnosed with herpes zoster were included as the study sample, with an admission period from January 2024 to October 2024. Patients were divided into a control group and a study group according to the random number table method, with the control group receiving valacyclovir treatment and the study group receiving interferon α2b gel combined with valacyclovir treatment. Inflammatory factors and immune function indicators were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the levels of inflammatory factors in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the levels of immune function indicators were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combined therapy of interferon α2b gel and valacyclovir can reduce the inflammatory response in patients with herpes zoster and regulate their immune function.
