Abstract

As the digital economy in the new era places increasing demands on high-quality technical and skilled talent, reforming and innovating career education for students in higher vocational colleges has become particularly important. Through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews conducted at 18 higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province, this study analyzes the current problems in career education, such as insufficient practical application in courses, content disconnected from industry needs, and a lack of digital competence among faculty. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a “three-dimensional integrated” innovative pathway for digital empowerment: reconstructing the curriculum content system to be “layered, modular, and dynamic”; innovating teaching methods and means with “PBL + blended learning”; and upgrading faculty development to be “diverse, empowering, and integrated.” The aim is to significantly enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of career education and promote a comprehensive improvement in the quality of talent cultivation in higher vocational education.
