About the Translator
Pan Jiaye, an MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting) student at Jilin International Studies University, holds professional certifications including the CATTI Level 2 and the TEM-8. During his academic journey, he has gained multiple awards in English contests and translation competitions. With substantial professional experience, he has worked in translation companies as a translator and translated over 300,000 words across diverse fields involving commercial documents, historical materials, and literary works.
Zhou Jiayi is a graduate student at Jilin International Studies University, holding the TEM-8 certificate in English proficiency. With extensive experience in translation practice, Zhou Jiayi has actively participated in various translation competitions and demonstrated professional competence through translation positions in corporate settings. Combining academic excellence with practical application, she has developed strong cross-cultural communication skills and technical translation capabilities. Dedicated to linguistic precision and cultural adaptation, she consistently delivers high-quality translations while maintaining a commitment to continuous professional development in the field of language services.
Hanzhou Pang, PhD, Washington State University, Professor of English at Jilin International Studies University, is teaching and was an instructor of English, intercultural communication and translation courses with Beijing Normal University, Washington State University, Central Oregon Community College, Far East State Transport University (Russia) and Higher School of Economics (Russia). He published Chinese Festivals: Ethnicity, Documentation and Artworks (2023), a translation rewritten in English, Eyes in Light, a collection of English and Chinese poems, “The Chive Eater,” an English short story, A Tree Magnate, an English translation of a Chinese novel, the Chinese translations of Money Eaters, an Australian novel, McKenn Advertisement, an American monograph, and several articles with Social Identities, Cogent Education, Changing English and other international journals. His interpreting experiences cover about one year, including worksite interpreting in Tai’an, Shandong Province, Xiaoxian, Anhui Province.
