Research Commons, recently launched by Clarivate, is an open scholarly content collection that integrates research outputs. It aims to enhance the discoverability and connectivity of scholarly outputs within the global research ecosystem.

The inclusion of these journals means that published articles may now be discoverable on the Web of Science platform (when the Research Commons collection is selected). This integration supports broader dissemination and improves the accessibility of research to international audiences. Furthermore, by connecting to global scholarly metadata and citation infrastructures, articles gain expanded opportunities to be accessed, shared, and potentially cited, contributing to increased academic visibility and impact.

Hill Publishing remains committed to maintaining high standards in scholarly publishing, including rigorous peer review, standardized metadata practices, and open access dissemination. These efforts ensure that research outputs are widely accessible and positioned for global academic engagement.

About Web of Science (Research Commons)

Web of Science, operated by Clarivate, is one of the world’s most authoritative academic information service platforms, widely used for research retrieval, bibliometric analysis, and academic evaluation. The platform relies on high-quality academic journals, conference papers, patents, and other data sources to build a multidisciplinary citation index network, serving as a key component of global academic infrastructure. It covers core collections (such as SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, ESCI) and specialized databases (e.g., MEDLINE). Research Commons, a newly launched sub-database within the Web of Science platform, leverages the platform’s global academic network to provide broader retrieval and discovery opportunities for included papers. Relevant research outputs can connect to the international citation system, effectively expanding citation pathways and enhancing the dissemination efficiency and citation potential of papers in the global academic community. For authors, this means their research can be more quickly integrated into the international academic exchange system, gaining attention, usage, and citations in broader academic contexts, thereby laying the foundation for sustained growth in academic influence.

Hill Publishing Group is an international English-language journal publishing platform. It focuses on the research, publication, and distribution of international Open Access (also known as "Open Source") English-language journals. Its research scope covers numerous fields including life sciences, medicine and public health, mathematics, agriculture, computer science, and environmental studies. Its users span over 80 countries and regions worldwide. The platform aims to be developed into a one-stop integrated platform for English-language Open Access science and technology journals, providing centralized showcase and fostering the development of such journals.
