Journal of Humanities, Arts and Social Science article recommendation: The nonlinearity of history and the self-narrative of female writers
In the long river of history, women's voices are often drowned in men's narratives. However, in recent years, scholars have begun to re-examine history, especially the nonlinear development of women's history.
How is women's history rewritten? How do scholars put their works into dialogue by critically reading the personal statements and theoretical reflections of female writers?
This new perspective by Albrecht Classen, a scholar at the University of Arizona, not only reveals the important role of women in history, but also shows their self-awareness and literary ability.

Four outstanding women
Hrotsvit of Gandersheim: She was the first female playwright, religious narrative author and Saxon poet in the Middle Ages. Her works show the wisdom and strength of women and leave a valuable literary legacy for future generations. Her works not only spread in the monastery, but also influenced the literary creation at that time.
Frau Ava: As the first female poet writing in German, she showed women's deep understanding and expression of faith. Her poems not only record religious stories, but also reflect the status and influence of women in medieval society.
Héloise: As the lover, wife and friend of philosopher Abelard, her letters show the wisdom and emotions of women. Her writings not only record personal experiences, but also reflect the struggles and pursuits of women in love, marriage and society.
Marie de France: This Anglo-Norman poet injected new vitality into medieval literature with her unique perspective and profound thinking. Her works not only show the talents of women, but also provide new directions for literary creation in later generations.
These women not only achieved outstanding achievements in literature, but also played an important role in religion, education and society. Their works and thoughts have influenced countless women in later generations and laid the foundation for the liberation and development of women. They used their pens and voices to prove the power and value of women.
Despite their remarkable achievements, these women still face many challenges. Social prejudice, religious restrictions and male dominance have brought difficulties to their creation and activities. However, they did not give up, but through their own efforts, they won more opportunities and rights for themselves and future women.
The stories of these women move us, and their courage and wisdom make us admire them. They used their pens and voices to win respect and honor for themselves. Their stories tell us that women's power is infinite. As long as we bravely pursue our dreams, we will surely create our own glory.
