With the global population steadily increasing and arable land resources becoming more limited, optimizing fertilizer use has emerged as a critical factor in ensuring sustainable crop production and food security. Effective fertilizer management not only enhances agricultural productivity but also minimizes environmental impacts, making it essential for developing eco-friendly and economically viable farming systems.
In this special issue of the International Journal of Food Science and Agriculture, we aim to highlight the latest research and innovations in fertilizer optimization strategies for maximizing crop yields. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and case studies that explore advanced approaches to nutrient management, precision fertilization, and sustainable agricultural practices.
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit original research articles, reviews, and perspectives related to fertilizer optimization and crop yield. We are particularly interested in papers that address the following topics:
• Precision nutrient management and fertilizer efficiency
• Organic and biofertilizers for sustainable crop production
• Soil fertility enhancement through balanced fertilization
• Micronutrient management and crop quality improvement
• Slow-release and controlled-release fertilizer technologies
• Fertilizer application techniques and timing optimization
• Environmental impacts and mitigation of fertilizer use
• Policy and economic strategies for fertilizer optimization
Manuscript Submission Information
Authors should submit their manuscripts for the special issue by emailing them as an attachment to specialissue@hillpublish.com or by using the online submission system. The manuscript should be submitted by one of the authors, and submissions by anyone other than the authors will not be accepted. Additionally, the submitted manuscript should include a cover letter that specifies the special issue to which the manuscript is being submitted.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). The submitted papers should be properly formatted and written in fluent English. All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process.
