Abstract

Objective: To observe the impact of mind map-based medication guidance on the clinical efficacy of quadruple therapy in the treatment of Hp. Methods: 70 patients with first-time Helicobacter pylori infection confirmed by carbon 13 or carbon 14 breath test in Xi'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected and divided into groups according to the random number table method, with 35 patients each in the control group and the observation group. The patients in the control group were given routine medication orders, while the observation group was given a mind map of the designed medication time of the quadruple medication. The eradication rate and medication compliance of the two groups were compared, and factors such as education level, smoking/drinking, and whether Helicobacter pylori was successfully eradicated were analyzed for correlation. Results: After receiving medication guidance based on mind maps, the eradication rate and medication compliance of the observation group were greater than those of the control group (P <0.05). Whether Helicobacter pylori was successfully eradicated was not significantly related to education level, smoking/drinking, and other factors. Conclusion: Medication guidance based on mind maps can be used as an auxiliary treatment for quadruple therapy in the treatment of Hp. It can improve the medication compliance and eradication rate of Hp and provide help for the clinical eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
